The going-ons.... goings-on?

Wishing that I looked a bit more pregnant. I saw a bunch of people this week that I don't often see. Not one of them knew I was pregnant before I told them. What a bummer. C'mon guys, I promise I'm not this fat otherwise... :( Oh well, I'll get there. Let's hope baby has a major growth spurt in the next 3 weeks because I've got another one of those "see people I don't often see" type days coming up :) I'd like for someone who never sees me to know I'm pregnant.

Baby is quite the wiggler now... I'm feeling movements every day and usually at least 5 separate occasions in a day. The exception is if I have a more lazy day, I feel them more often and when I have a super busy day, I feel them less. Movements have severely started up at night time lately... lol

Made 2 registries this week. Got a bunch of free goodies from them, which is cool. BRU gave a bag of items and it contained a playtex drop-ins bottle (now I have 2 to try before opening my sets) as well as a pampers (huggies? idk) NB diaper! It's so TINY!!!! There were many more things too but those were the most exciting things to me. Didn't register for anything really exciting though.

We did a cloth diaper workshop this weekend as well. Didn't learn a lot but got some questions answered and saw some more brands of diapers in person.

The dog was playing fetch with a timbit (aka donut hole) today. It was HILARIOUS!!

And right now I'm having my bladder used as a trampoline, so I'm going to head off to bed and see if laying flat stops this lol.

Yessiree! The baby has bedding. At 25% off of $130 it came to $107 including tax or $96 before tax. So excited and couldn't pass up this deal.

Only 2.5 more work days until spring break.

Taking Elvis in to the vet this week hopefully. He has a cut in his ear (I just figured out what was bugging him after checking a few times and not noticing...) and I want it looked at since he's such a small dog it worries me to use rubbing alcohol like my dad used to dump in our cocker spaniel's ears. He's overdue for a few shots and deworming and such too do it's just time for it.

5 things to be happy about...

5. The mom aged women I work with (my mom, not like young able-to-be mom aged) are mostly all done having kids so I don't have to deal with pregnancy announcement after pregnancy announcement.

4. My dog. He makes me laugh all the time.

3. My husband. He's so awesome and he brings me treats or video games. He loves to buy me things.

2. My cycle seems to be getting shorter. Here's hoping this is my month... It would be cool to go through things with BBzfa :)

AND

1. It's christmas break! No work for 2 weeks.

My dog is so hilarious. I called him up onto the bed yesterday morning and then hid my head under the covers expecting him to come and dig them off me. I didn't feel any movement so I pulled the covers away and was SO startled. His face was RIGHT beside mine and he was staring at me. xD It was SOOO funny!

Imagine this face right beside yours on the other side of the covers... not knowing! lol

The love of a dog

This is my Elvis dog. He's a purebred Pomeranian and was born in Sept 2009. He's so adorable and loves the attention from us. When we go out, we crate him so he doesn't chew everything. 

He's chewed:

• camera cord
• nintendo DS cord
• socks
• sandals
• underwear... (mine)
• kleenex
• random paper
• and of course dog toys 

We got him in October, when he was 13 months old. We found him on a craigslist like site and got him for $250. He was such a catch but he seems like he's part dog, part cat, part rabbit. He can jump and get something hanging over a counter at our waist height.

Dog: loves attention

Cat: skittish and scared of strangers and other dogs most of the time. He's interested in them until they pay attention to him and then he bolts.

He used to be scared of the car but once we let him ride in the car outside of a kennel, he stopped being scared. He loves to "go for a ride" now and we take him anywhere we can. Unfortunately we will stop taking him except when we're only going to places that he can come into because it's almost summer and we don't want him to suffocate in a hot car.

He sleeps on the bed with us most nights and curls up on our legs or between them. To wake us up, he climbs up on top of us, lays down and licks inside our ears. That wakes us quickly.

My favourite time of day is when I come home after work or from anywhere else and he gets so excited. He bounces when we come in the door and his tail never stops wagging.

We were painting all weekend and Elvis sat outside the door whining for a long time. He spent a lot of time in the room on the other side of the door and when I opened the door, he was SO excited to see me. It was almost like I'd been gone for a week.
